Location

The noble Quinta is ideally located in a rural setting, by the footsteps of the Sintra mountain range, next to the luxurious Penha Longa golf resort. Beautiful Guincho beach, cosmopolitan Cascais and Estoril are only 6 km away. This is a brilliant location for nature lovers, as the Sintra-Cascais National Park lies harmoniously in the background, where you will find magnificent hiking tracks with an abundance of wild flowers, birds and wildlife. The efficient motorway network is 2 km away, so Cascais and Sintra are only 10 minutes away and Lisbon can be easily reached in under 30 minutes.











Quinta de Santo Antonio offers the ideal setting for the perfect holiday. A large private swimming pool and beautiful grounds in a 3000 m2 private estate, close to the beach and the many attractions of Cascais, Estoril, Lisbon and Sintra. The Penha Longa luxury resort, which borders the villa provides a 5 star hotel, 2 golf courses, luxury spa, horseback riding, tennis, bars and restaurants. Also close to hand is the Valténis Country Club specializing in Tennis, Racket Ball and Squash. Sintra is a member of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Cities list, with its castle, palaces and gardens set in lush vegetation and ravishing views, it is a scenic 10 minute drive across the mountain.

Locally, there is a huge choice of the latest films in their original language with over twenty screens in four local cinema complexes, reachable within 10 minutes, as are two attractive shopping centres. Summer brings international festivals; classical music and ballet in Sintra, jazz in Estoril and fireworks in Cascais. Lisbon, with its historic heritage sites and rich cultural life is only half an hour away. Less distant in the other direction is the coastal resort of Cascais, where you will find superb beaches, restaurants, night-life and shopping, as well as a charming old town with rewarding sight-seeing. Thanks to the motorway network the Templar Knights’ castle and chapels at Tomar and Batalha are within an easy day trip, as well as the ancient academic town of Coimbra.

Beaches
Guincho beach, world renowned for its beauty, surfing, wind surfing and kite boarding, is 10 km away. Other beaches in Estoril, with calm waters in its protected bay are 7 km away. Many other sandy beaches are also close by, each with their own individual character. Less than half an hour’s drive north along the coast, are several beaches well worth exploring, with excellent fish restaurants.

Golf
Seven golf courses are on your doorstep! Six of Portugal’s best golf courses are within a 5 or 10 minute drive, offering new and surprising landscapes, along with first class services and facilities. Discounted green fees are available. Portugal is a golfer’s paradise where it is possible to play nearly every day of the year, with plenty to offer both beginners and advanced players.

Weather
Portugal is a year round destination. Hot and sunny in the summer, with a refreshing breeze off the sea. Spring and Autumn are mild, ideal for sightseeing. Rainy days can occur in winter, but it is rarely very cold.

Getting there and around
Less than two hours flight from most European cities and seven hours from New York, the house can be reached by car or taxi from Lisbon Airport in 30 minutes. Located within the Sintra-Cascais National Park, the property is 2 km from the motorway. Lisbon, with its cultural attractions and cosmopolitan night life is only 30 minutes away. Taxis are available and inexpensive. Transport and private tours can be arranged.
